Event Description

A dramatic celebration of the range and diversity of Shakespeare's female characters.

The year is 1616. Will Shakespeare has returned to Stratford at the end of his glittering career, now a dying man cared for by his wife and daughters.

As he slips in and out of conciousness the women around him take on new and familiar forms as they bring to life the vibrant and extraordinary characters from his plays.

The show fuses Shakespeares language, through extracts from his works, with physical theatre, visual images and music.
