LAZARUS

Welcome to the home of Lazarus Theatre Company, a company truly committed to producing the best in London Fringe Theatre.

Inspired by a broad and diverse range of material we hope that our work informs, inspires and provokes our audiences, offering a fresh and bold re-imagination of some of the greatest works ever written. Through the use of text, song, music and movement we hope to offer an exciting theatrical experience; our work involves ensemble storytelling with intimacy and detail at its heart.

Season 2009 has already started with incredible momentum; our production of John Webster’s “The Duchess of Malfi” received glowing reviews and in turn played a sell out run at The Blue Elephant Theatre, Camberwell.

In this our third year we are building strong links with theatres, practitioners and artists as well as the most important aspect of our work, our audience.

Lazarus Theatre Company
My Quick CV
Productions include Euripides' MEDEA , Euripides' ELEKTRA and John Websters THE DUCHESS OF MALFI

Lazarus Theatre Company Present;
OSCAR WILDE’S
SALOMÉ
Roundhouse Studio Theatre,
14th, 15th and 16th August 2009
6pm, Tickets just £7.50.

Originally performed in France due to the censorship on the British stage Wilde’s Salomé, a radical retelling of the famous temptress and her dance of the seven veils inspires this, the next in the Lazarus Cannon.

“Salomé, Salomé dance for me. I pray thee dance for me”

Through the use of movement, text and an original score we present this the most seductive and sensual of Wilde’s plays. The large ensemble of twenty actors presents one of our most sexually charged and hypnotic pieces of theatre in one of the most exciting performance venues in London, The Roundhouse.

Tickets are just £7.50 and can be booked either online or from The Roundhouse box office directly. Join us for what will be a highlight of The Camden Fringe 2009.

Directed by Ricky Dukes,
Design by Heather Doole, Liam Welton,
Movement by Tim Mcfarland and Ricky Dukes,
Sound by Liam Welton,
Stage Management by Heather Doole.

The first thing that inspired me in theatre...
All theatre is inspirational, particular highlights must be shared experiences production of Orestes at the tricycle theatre.
My favourite theatre something is...
the culmination of months of work for an opening night.
The thing that annoys me about our industry...
lack of funding for small theatre companies.

Hi there,

Please look at my website WWW.NOAHLEEMARGETTS.COM to see if I may be right for any of your upcoming projects. I am an actor primarily but also Directed and Produced "Cat's-Paw" at The King's Head last year, garnering 5 Stars and Critic's Choice from Time Out for all of the 9-weeks that the show played. WWW.CATSPAWPLAY.COM. I am doing a revival of the show for one week only in two weeks time, from Saturday May 3rd-Friday 9th of May every night at 7:30 with a matinee on Thursday 8th of May. There will also be a screening of a previously unseen interview with Alan Johnston only days after he was released from captivity last year. Finally, there will be a showing of the short film, SUICYCLE: A LIFE FOR A STORY, exploring the concept of suicide bombing as a form of protest.
