I think one of the 'best bits' of Masterclass is seeing loads of young people inside this beautiful theatre, a place where it can be difficult to see a play because of cost, but during these sessions we/they own the place! The informal way that masters and audience engage in discussion and explore ideas about theatre is really exciting and something to treasure. It's a credit to the Haymarket that they let us use the stage as we need and its thanks to all the staff there who help to make it possible. They give their time (such as the LX team setting up lights, and the stage team hanging blacks or putting up treads) and through that we can share these brilliant afternoons with great people.
