My Quick CV
"The contemplation of beauty
causes the soul to grow wings."Plato

One never knows exactly what affect a photograph will have; they are, in a sense “time captures.” Although not nostalgic or sentimental by nature, I am however intrigued by the depth and variance of feeling that a simple ‘moment in time’ capture can invoke on an audience. Moments that we can often never replicate or recapture because are in essence, gone; forever lost.
In my work, I gravitate toward creating images that walk the fine line between fashion and fine art where the viewer is drawn into an intimate dialogue between the camera, the location and the subject. I am particularly attracted in photographing models in weathered buildings and ‘smudged’ surroundings which allow the eye to explore the shapes, shadows, patterns, colours and textures that inevitably contradict with the models beauty, but also visually ‘mesh’ and thus allow for a rich visual content to contemplate. I’ve always been a creator and am very interested in exploring the boundaries of visual expression in collaboration with the model *(whatever they might be).
In this artistic journey, I’ve learned that life, like the conditions that make up a single photographic shot, is fleeting and ever-changing. Though I can only capture a moment in time with each snap of the shutter, I hope that somehow, through my photographs I can create beautiful, thought provoking fine art and fashion photography that creates an everlasting footprint in the viewers mind.

Above all, my work is fun and ever evolving and in itself on a journey.

Enjoy!
