Calling All Freelance Arts Practitioners In and Around London!!!

Hello everyone!

I have recently taken up post as Community Arts Coordinator at Roding Valley High School Performing Arts College in Loughton, Essex. I'm looking to create a bank of artists who will be able to help deliver some of the school's community arts programme in local primary schools, link secondary schools and the wider community in general. In features you get a wireframe design of how your homepage looks like and you get to drag and drop the different elements of what makes a homepage. You need to drag 'Blog' to the top of the homepage and then Save. Let me know if this works for you. Perhaps you mean something else.

I got my continuous investigation in Improv that I have started a student group to assist practically. (Well, in fact, I just wanted to be able to improv without having to goto a workshop in London.) Using improv in my final 10 minute short film. Will be looking for Directors, actors, actresses for. But I guess I'll be looking at using students - I'm wanting a brilliant quality, so am thinking about getting people in. And having to facilitate workshops, which I really got into last year. So I am happy go lucky. Got a part-time job with an up-and-coming workshopping company. (Cardiff, nowadays, if you have heard of ATRium. Supposedly we will have our rehearsal rooms and theatre actually running and open to use when I go back up.)

At 2:54pm on June 4, 2007, Nathan Keates said…: Found easier way to comment back. (Use comment thread - shows both our reponses.) Anyway, its getting closer to the date, and I'm still not fully sorted. I will still be saying that on even if I pretty much am sorted. Thought of new game today, not the easiest on, but perhaps an end-of-process game. I'm sure you know what I mean, the type of game that is supposed to show how far you come and how far you deeloped. The part which every one has been looking forward to. Perhaps the greatest moment of the workshopee's time in the workshop. The climax of the workshop; strange how a workshop can be almost like a performance itself, perhaps why i like it so much. To improvise a workshop, where you have a structure of various games with the almighty end game (at the end), is therefore similar to improvising a show. Queastion would be who is the audience? The workshopee's are busy obiding the games. I suppose thats why Theatresports and all similar forms of shows work. (Although that does not answer the question. ) I feel this could go into my dissertation next year. (Good job it'll be on the internet, i can just refer back to it.

One thing is for sure, it will be an experience I will never forget. (From stories I've been told, I think it'll be fairly impossible.) I am gonna explore workshopping further than this summer too, I think.

At 10:11am on May 30, 2007, Nathan Keates said…: I'm in the camp for 8 weeks and then travelling for a month after, well over a month (just). I got a list of games for the kids, who are a bit difficult (so I hear) as they have ADD or Aspergers. I will be ready to change what I have planned. Still gotta finalise the list of games I got then write em up in my journal. 20 days I think till I fly.

Its only 3 weeks I think till I goto USA to workshop children in music, dance and comedy. I'm looking forward to it; it'll be amazing.

At 2:29pm on May 28, 2007, Nathan Keates said…: Unfortunately not. Only some agency work, and one day so far. Silly people cancelled todays work when I was at the agency to collect people. And they didnt ask me on how many I could take. Very silly people. (I think it was due to that fact they cancelled me.) Waitering and cleaning work this though. How have you been?
