What is Commedia dell’Arte?
Commedia dell’Arte is a traditional performing art that developed in Italy since the 15th Century and influenced the most important playwrights all over the world, from Molière to Shakespeare and from which derived many modern theatre genres, from slapstick comedy to British Pantomime. Its main peculiarities are the use of masks, improvisation and the interaction with the audience. Its characters usually represent current social issues through intelligent, comic and ironical situations.

The workshop will include a lunchtime break with free refreshments
