What I do... (Actor, director, designer, teacher etc?): Actor, Director, Producer, Writer

My Quick CV: Currently a jobbing actor mainly theatre trying to expand more into film. I run a company called Word Of Mouth Productions and enjoy all the headaches which come with low/no budget theatre. I've written a couple of plays and directed a couple, not my own I hasten to add although with hindsight I wish I had! Always happy to dicuss new ideas and collaborate.

The first thing that inspired me in theatre...: Playing the King in a junior school play. I had to wear trousers and my mother borrowed a pair from my cousin that were too big. All throughout the play (which had been written by my teacher) my trousers kept falling down which had everyone in stitches and they watched my every move to see what I'd do next. I realised that I had a room full of people hanging on my every move and gesture just waiting for something funny to happen and without thinking about it I started playing up to them and loving every minute of it.

The thing that annoys me about our industry...: Is how amazingly ignorant and unimaginative some so called artists can be. Or the assumption that fictional characters have a specific racial identity which cannot be questioned is just embarrassing for the poor soul making the argument.

New Play Launch Party -31st March

Hello I am producing a play called 'Celia' at The New Players Theatre in Charing Cross which opens on the 6th May. It is a true story of how one woman's traumatic experience captured the hearts of the British and American public and forced both governments to end the practice of slavery.
