SO WHO IS JAMIE?

Everybody's Talking About Jamie is inspired by the story of jamie Campbell and his mother Margaret. It's very loosely based on a period in Jamie's life but bits of it have been fictionalised!

WHAT IS EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE ABOUT?

Jamie New is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in.

Jamie is terrified about the future.

Jamie is going to be a sensation.

Supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight.

WHO WROTE THE SHOW?

Everybody's Talking About Jamie is a new musical written by Tom MacRae (TV credits include Doctor Who, Marple, Lewis, and Casualty) and Dan Gillespie Sells (lead vocalist and songwriter for The Feeling).

WHO IS PLAYING JAMIE?

John McCrea plays Jamie New. His theatre credits include The Buskers Opera (Park Theatre), Peter Pan (Adelphi Theatre), Streets and RENT! (Cockpit Theatre), The Sound of Music and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (London Palladium), Barney’s Colourful World and The King and I (National Tour).
