Sinatra The Musical is the big-band West End musical about Frank Sinatra’s fall and spectacular comeback, now playing at the Aldwych Theatre and booking until 10 April 2027. Joel Harper-Jackson stars as Sinatra, with more than twenty classic songs played live by a seventeen-piece orchestra.
The story follows the crooner from teenage idol to washed-up has-been and back to the top, through his stormy romance with Ava Gardner, the end of his marriage to Nancy and the Oscar-winning film role that revived his career. The book is by two-time Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, and the show is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall.
Plan for about 2 hours and 45 minutes, including one interval. Expect smoky clubs, recording studios and Hollywood glamour, with songs such as Come Fly With Me, One For My Baby, That’s Life, The Best Is Yet To Come and My Way performed live. The Aldwych Theatre sits at the Covent Garden end of the Strand, a short walk from Covent Garden, Temple and Holborn stations, with plenty of restaurants nearby for a pre-show dinner.

There is no dress code, though plenty of guests dress up for a night of big-band swing. Arrive in good time, as bags may be checked on entry. Photography and recording are not allowed during the performance. The show explores adult themes including infidelity and the pressures of fame, so it is best suited to teenagers and adults. Everyone needs their own ticket.
