Thirty years on from the film, Trainspotting: The Musical is officially in rehearsal. The brand new musical is written by Irvine Welsh, the original writer of the Trainspotting book. This time, we’re taking it back to the nineties, Scotland.
Robbie Scott takes on the role of Renton, portrayed by Ewan McGregor in the 1996 film, alongside the rest of the gang Sick boy (Sheridan Townsley), Spud (Kieran Andrew), Begbie (Frankie O’Connor) Tommy (Finlay Paul) and Kelly (Yana Harris).
Trainspotting: The Musical is coming to the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 15 July for a strictly limited run until 5 September. Choose life. Choose theatre.
