The London production stars Jamaal Fields-Green as MJ - the only performer to have played the role on Broadway, on the US national tour, and in the West End. The cast also includes Mitchell Zhangazha as Young Michael, Matt Mills as Joseph Jackson/Rob, Philippa Stefani as Rachel, KoKo Alexandra as Katherine Jackson/Kate, and Kieran Alleyne as MJ Alternate.

MJ The Musical features a book by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage. The production is directed and choreographed by Tony and Olivier Award winner Christopher Wheeldon. The creative team includes scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Paul Tazewell, and lighting design by Natasha Katz.
