High School Musical at the Troubadour: the story, songs and staging

Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High navigate first love, friendships and finding out who they really are while juggling classes, basketball games, auditions and the expectations of their peers. The score includes Breaking Free, Get'cha Head in the Game, Stick to the Status Quo and We're All in This Together.

The production is directed jointly by Hope Mill Theatre founders Joseph Houston and William Whelton, with choreography by Aaron Renfree, a book by David Simpatico and music adapted, arranged and produced by Bryan Louiselle. Extended staging and seating on the stage itself turn the Troubadour into an immersive East High. It transferred to Wembley after a summer season at Lowry, Salford, and is produced by Hope Mill Theatre and Chris Harper Productions.
