Bear Grylls: Never Give Up tickets in Oxford

Bear Grylls: Never Give Up is a live talk in which Bear Grylls, adventurer, Chief Scout, TV host and bestselling author, shares stories, never-before-seen footage and images from his adventures. It is billed as family-friendly, runs for one hour and fifty minutes, and carries an age guidance of eight and above.

What the show involves

This is a live speaking event rather than a scripted stage production. Bear Grylls draws on his career across military service, television series including Man vs. Wild, You vs. Wild and Celebrity Bear Hunt, children's adventure writing, and his role as Chief Scout to millions of young people.

Personal stories include his recovery from a near-fatal parachuting accident and an encounter with Barack Obama in the Alaskan wilderness. These are presented alongside footage and images from his expeditions, with themes of courage, perseverance and kindness running throughout.

Audience considerations

The show is recommended for ages eight and above and is positioned to appeal to families, scout groups and younger adventurers as well as adults. Parents of children at the younger end of that range may wish to note the one hour and fifty minute running time when planning their visit.
