Cody Dahler: The State of This, a live political talk with guest hosts and audience Q&A at Theatre Royal Brighton. Tickets for the 1hr 50min show.
Cody Dahler: The State of This is a live talk billed as a thicky thicky dumb dumb's guide to British politics, running for one hour and fifty minutes at Theatre Royal Brighton. Comedian and political satirist Cody Dahler brings his fast-paced, fact-filled take on modern British political life to the stage.
Rather than a conventional stand-up set, this is a talk-format live show in which Cody Dahler is joined by special guest hosts who discuss his book and field questions from the audience, whether those questions are considered, silly or outright bizarre. The material digs into the history and roots of contemporary political dysfunction, targeting the identity-driven, culture-war, social-media-hot-take brand of politics that has come to dominate public discourse.
Dahler has built a following of over two million people across his platforms as a comedian, satirist and political writer. The show is described as accessible and framed around making sense of how Britain arrived at its current political state.
The show carries an age guidance of 16 and above, at the discretion of a parent or guardian. Given the politically charged subject matter and the audience Q&A element, those attending should expect pointed and irreverent content.
