Discos for Grown-Ups at Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone: LED headphones, 70s–00s channels, standing dance event. Strictly 18+. Book tickets.
Silent Disco for Grown-Ups brings Discos for Grown-Ups back to Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone, with wireless LED headphones giving each dancer personal control over the soundtrack. Two channels run simultaneously: one covering the 70s and 80s, the other the 90s and 00s.
Attendees receive light-up LED wireless headphones and choose between two channels. Channel Red covers 70s and 80s classics from artists including Chic, ABBA, Madonna, Human League, Wham, Queen and Michael Jackson. Channel Blue covers the 90s and 00s with music from the Spice Girls, Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Daft Punk, Kylie, Whitney and Oasis, among others. Each person switches independently, so different parts of the room can be dancing to different decades at the same time.
The event is a standing, dancing occasion with lights and lasers accompanying the DJ sets. The dress code is Disco Glamour. Standard doors open at 6:45pm, the show runs from 7:30pm to 10:30pm, and organisers ask all attendees to arrive by 7:30pm.
A VIP Ticket Pack gives priority entry from 6:30pm, fifteen minutes before standard doors, with earlier access to the bar. It also includes a glow stick pendant, a flashing foam baton, a flashing LED bracelet and a gold wristband entitling the holder to 20 per cent off merchandise on the night.
The event is strictly for those aged 18 and over; under-18s will not be admitted to the venue.
