James B Partridge brings The Big Christmas Assembly 2026 to Theatre Royal Brighton, New Theatre Oxford and The Alexandra, Birmingham, a festive singalong built around the school Christmas repertoire that took him from classroom performances to Glastonbury Festival and national broadcast appearances.
The Big Christmas Assembly 2026 is a live singalong event in which audience participation is central to the format. The material draws on school Christmas assembly repertoire, festive classics, throwback mashups and seasonal songs from the last weeks of term, combined with storytelling and comedy. Partridge describes the show as a celebration of shared childhood moments, from nativity productions to the assembly hall itself.
The show is listed under a Family category by the presenting venues, reflecting broad generational appeal. No specific age restriction or duration is stated in the source listings.
Partridge originally created performances for his own pupils as a teacher, and the show grew from that classroom context into a wider following via TikTok and a slot closing a field at Glastonbury Festival. Since then he has been featured on Virgin Radio and BBC Radio 2, and made television appearances on The One Show and Songs of Praise.
The majority of his 2025 Christmas tour sold out in advance, and early booking is advised for the 2026 dates.
