Love Cheese @ Grand Opera House York: Curtain Up, Cork Out tickets in York

Love Cheese: Curtain Up, Cork Out is a one-off guided tasting held on the stage of Grand Opera House York, pairing five cheeses with five wines over two hours and thirty minutes, presented by four food and drink specialists. Entry is for over-18s only.

What the evening involves

Guests are seated on the stage itself rather than in the auditorium, turning the performing space into a tasting room for the night. Each cheese and wine pairing is introduced and explained by the presenting team, so the format is guided throughout.

The four presenters each bring a distinct specialism. Jordan Thomson, billed as 'The Goudafather', is the owner of Love Cheese and the event's lead curator. Harry Baines, 'The Big Cheese', is the established face of Love Cheese's virtual tastings. Ben Thorpe of York on a Fork is a Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Judge. Nick Fildes of Amphora Annals is a qualified sommelier responsible for the wine selections and pairing commentary.

Audience considerations

This event is strictly for guests aged 18 and over. Because it takes place on the stage rather than in the seated auditorium, there is no lift access to the performance area. Anyone with mobility or access requirements is advised to contact yorkinspire@atgentertainment.com before booking.

It is advertised as a single, non-recurring performance, with limited seats available.
