Explore Liverpool Empire's Grade II listed building on a 90-minute Public Venue Tour with stage access and backstage stories of original features. Book tickets.
The Public Venue Tour is a guided 90-minute exploration of Liverpool Empire, a Grade II listed theatre on Lime Street, covering the building's history from its opening to the present day, including original features and stories from staff and visiting productions.
The route takes in original architectural features throughout the building and includes a chance to stand on the stage. Backstage areas may also be visited, though access depends on the wishes of any production currently in residence and is not guaranteed.
This is a Creative Learning event and does not include admission to any show running at the venue.
The tour involves a number of stairs. Anyone with access requirements is encouraged to contact liverpoolcreativelearning@atgentertainment.com ahead of their visit so that needs can be discussed in advance.
The meeting point is the glass foyer doors on Lime Street. Arriving at least five minutes before the start time is advised, as latecomers may not be admitted. Private tours are available for groups of ten or more on request.
These are the dates listed by ATG as checked on 21 September 2026. A date range may contain selected performances, rather than a show every day. Open your chosen venue link for exact times, seats and current prices.
