Stories With Skip – Under The Sea: a 45-min creative session at Theatre Royal Brighton for ages 2.5–4, with play, craft and storytelling. Book tickets.
Stories With Skip – Under The Sea is a 45-minute creative learning session at Theatre Royal Brighton for children aged two and a half to four and their grown-ups. It combines play, a short craft activity and a story, all built around an underwater theme.
The session starts in the stalls foyer, where children can see, touch and play with items linked to the underwater theme. Families then move into the auditorium to search, collect and play between the seats, using the theatre itself as a hands-on space.
A short craft activity follows before everyone heads upstairs to a cosy lounge for a story. Children wiggle like fishes and dive like dolphins as they explore the world beneath the waves. Skip may appear during the session, so young visitors are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled.
Both the adult and child must each have a ticket. The front doors open five minutes before the start time. The session is described as relaxed and gentle, and is billed as a suitable introduction to Theatre Royal Brighton for young children.
