The Further Adventures of Peter Pan: The Return of Captain Hook (Pantomime) tickets in York

A brand-new pantomime at Grand Opera House York sends Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and Smee into a fresh confrontation with Captain Hook. The show features gravity-defying flying sequences, special effects, comedy and a cast drawn from West End musicals and television.

The story and format

Rather than retelling the original tale, this pantomime picks up where familiar events left off, pitting Peter Pan against a returning Captain Hook in a new Neverland adventure. It blends swashbuckling action with comedy, show-stopping songs and stunt work within the conventions of the British panto tradition.

The cast

Tom Lister, known for Emmerdale and the West End production of 42nd Street, takes on Captain Hook. Jimmy Bryant returns to Grand Opera House York having played Buttons in the previous season's Cinderella, this time appearing as Smee. Holly Atterton, recognised from Nick Jr's Go! Go! Go! and stage productions including Mamma Mia and Rocky Horror, plays Tinker Bell. Joe Sleight, whose credits include Blood Brothers, leads as Peter Pan, while Kirsty Sparks, whose West End work spans Top Hat, Starlight Express and Hairspray, appears as Ethel the Mermaid. Further casting is still to be confirmed.
