'Phantoms of the Popera' starring G4
Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone
8 March 2027 to 29 March 2027 (selected dates)
Varna International Ballet performs Snow White with live orchestra and music by Tchaikovsky and Grieg at UK venues in 2027. Book tickets.
Varna International Ballet brings Snow White to UK stages in 2027, combining special effects with live orchestral music by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Pugni and Grieg. The company, founded in 1947, is led by Artistic Director Sergei Bobrov and Music Director and Chief Conductor Filippo Dessi, and this season follows a previous UK tour.
The production follows Snow White from the moment the Queen's magic mirror names her the fairest in the land, through her flight into an enchanted forest and her shelter with the Seven Dwarfs, to the poisoned apple that casts her into a deep sleep, broken only by true love. The story is told entirely through movement, with magical special effects woven into the visual storytelling.
Rather than drawing on a single score, the company performs music by four composers, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Pugni and Grieg, played by the Varna International Ballet & Orchestra.
Varna International Ballet was founded in 1947 and tours with its own orchestra. The ensemble performs with soloists and a corps de ballet, and the 2027 UK season is billed as a return engagement following the company's debut British tour.
No age guidance or running time has been published for this production. Families and groups should contact their chosen venue directly for any specific guidance. The tour visits Edinburgh Playhouse, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, Theatre Royal Brighton, and Princess Theatre, Torquay, among other venues.
