A Joyful Finale (Hilary's Farewell Concert) tickets in Milton Keynes

Alina Orchestra performs Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at Milton Keynes Theatre in a farewell concert for their Music Director, Hilary Davan Wetton. Four soloists and the combined choral forces of Danesborough Chorus and MK Chorale join the orchestra for the occasion.

A landmark occasion

Hilary Davan Wetton has led Alina Orchestra since the ensemble's formation in 2017, and this concert marks the conclusion of that partnership. The programme centres on Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, whose choral finale calls for the kind of large combined forces assembled here: a full orchestra, two regional choirs, and four professional soloists.

The performers

Soprano Rachel Nicholls and mezzo-soprano Diana Moore are joined by tenor Peter Hoare and bass Benjamin Bevan. Danesborough Chorus and MK Chorale perform together to deliver the choral forces the work requires.
