Mean Girls the musical tours the UK direct from the West End, with Jennifer Ellison heading the cast alongside Emily Lane as Cady Heron and Vivian Panka as Regina George. The WhatsOnStage Award-winning production runs approximately two hours and thirty minutes.

The story and creative team

Cady Heron, raised by zoologist parents outside the conventional school system, arrives at North Shore High and encounters The Plastics, Regina, Gretchen and Karen, a trio who maintain their social dominance through intimidation. When Cady sets out to undermine Regina's authority, she finds the consequences harder to manage than she anticipated.

Tina Fey wrote the book, drawing on her own screenplay for the original film. Jeff Richmond composed the music, Nell Benjamin, whose credits include Legally Blonde, wrote the lyrics, and Casey Nicholaw, known for The Book of Mormon, directed and choreographed the production.

Cast

Jennifer Ellison, with television and West End credits, leads the touring company. Emily Lane, who has appeared in Frozen and Starter for Ten, plays Cady, and Vivian Panka, whose credits include Dear Evan Hansen and Heathers, plays Regina George. The Oxford cast listing also includes Sophie Pourret as Karen Smith, Georgina Buckland as Janis Sarkisian, Max Gill as Damian Hubbard, Karim Zeroual as Kevin Ganatra, and Joshua Elmore as Mr Duvall.

Audience guidance

The production is recommended for ages 10 and above and contains some mature content as well as strobe lighting. Children under three are not admitted. Any audience member under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over, and that adult must be seated with them.
