Se anuncia el elenco de Promises Promises en Southwark

En enero de 2017, la primera producción en el Reino Unido del musical de Broadway Promises, Promises, de Burt Bacharach / Hal David / Neil Simon —nominado a los Tony y ganador de un Grammy— se presentará en el Southwark Playhouse.
Basado en la película The Apartment (El apartamento) de Billy Wilder, Promises, Promises cuenta la historia de Chuck Baxter, un ejecutivo junior en una aseguradora de Nueva York, cuya vivienda en Midtown lo vuelve muy popular entre los altos directivos, que le prometen un ascenso a cambio de que “entretenga” en su apartamento. El dilema moral se complica para Chuck cuando descubre que su amor secreto, Fran Kubelik, ha sido invitada a su casa para una cita por el jefe de Chuck, J. D. Sheldrake.
Con canciones de éxito como Knowing When To Leave, Promises, Promises, I Say A Little Prayer For You, A House Is Not A Home y I'll Never Fall In Love Again, Promises, Promises es un triunfo sobre las políticas sexuales en el entorno laboral de los años 60.
