Flo and Joan bring deadpan wit and a real band's setlist to Theatre Royal Brighton. Rated 16+, 1hr 50mins. Check tickets for this musical comedy show.
Critically acclaimed musical comedy duo Flo & Joan return to live performance with a brand-new show, using another real band's setlist as the framework for original material that questions what music, bands and comedy actually are, in their characteristic deadpan style.
The duo borrow a real band's setlist as a structural device, using it to frame entirely original material. Rather than covering songs or paying tribute to another act, they interrogate what it means to make music and be a band, folding those questions into their trademark deadpan comedy. The premise treats the concept of a setlist as both tool and punchline.
Flo & Joan have appeared on Live at the Apollo, The Royal Variety Performance and Comic Relief's Red Nose Day Live 2023, and made their own Amazon Prime special, Alive on Stage.
The show carries a 16+ age guidance at Theatre Royal Brighton and runs for one hour and fifty minutes. The comedy leans towards sharp-tongued and deadpan rather than broad or family-friendly.
