Albert Lee brings his UK band to the Norman Bragg Studio, Aylesbury, for a concert drawing on a career spanning 1960s London to the heart of American country music. The set includes material from his latest album, Lay It Down, performed across two halves with an interval.
Lee began in the London rock scene of the sixties, moving between groups alongside figures such as Jimmy Page and Chris Farlowe before relocating to the United States. There he embedded himself in country music circles, building a reputation as one of the quickest and most precise guitar players in the business. His associations with The Everly Brothers, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris and The Crickets each shaped his career, and a Grammy followed in 2002 for his contribution to Foggy Mountain Breakdown.
Doors open at 19:00, with the first half beginning at 19:30 and running for 45 minutes. After an interval, the second half starts at 20:40 for a further 45 minutes, followed by an encore of around ten minutes, with the evening concluding at approximately 21:35. Lee plays his signature Ernie Ball Music Man Guitar throughout, accompanied by his UK band.
