Justin Hayward tickets and regional UK dates

Justin Hayward OBE, vocalist, lead guitarist and principal composer of the Moody Blues, brings The Story In Your Eyes Tour to UK venues. The tour is named after his composition released as a Moody Blues single 55 years ago and presents his catalogue as an original-artist concert.

The tour name and its origins

The tour takes its title from a Hayward composition that appeared on the Moody Blues' seventh studio album, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, released in 1971 alongside the single. That album topped the UK chart and spent three weeks at number two in the United States.

The Moody Blues sold 70 million albums worldwide, earning 18 platinum and gold LPs, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. Songs associated with Hayward include Nights in White Satin, Tuesday Afternoon, Question and The Voice.

Solo work alongside the band

Hayward has also built a substantial solo catalogue. His studio albums include Songwriter, Night Flight, Moving Mountains, The View From the Hill, and Classic Blue, recorded with Mike Batt. In 1978 he reached the global top ten with Forever Autumn, written for Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, a production in which he also appeared live.

His 2013 album Spirits Of The Western Sky was followed by a DVD release that reached number one on the Billboard Video chart. In 2020 he began the Tuesday Afternoon Video Series on YouTube, which led to the digital album Tuesday Afternoons: The Audio Files. He released further material in 2021 and 2022, and in 2025 released Life In A Northern Town in collaboration with Mike Batt.
