Sleeping Beauty relaxed panto at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre starring Laura Main and Andy Collins. Check tickets and booking.
Sleeping Beauty runs at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre for Christmas 2026, with this performance offered in a relaxed format that adapts lighting, sound levels and auditorium atmosphere to create a more comfortable environment for audience members with additional needs, very young children, or anyone who benefits from a calmer setting.
When the Princess is cursed by the evil Carabosse on the eve of her eighteenth birthday, only true love's kiss can break the spell. The production features dazzling sets, costumes and special effects alongside popular musical hits.
Laura Main, known from Call The Midwife, plays Fairy Snowfall. Andy Collins, a local favourite, returns as Lester the Jester. Leon Craig is back for a third year as dame Nanny Nora. Channel 5 Milkshake's David Ribi plays Prince Vincent, and Jordan Lee Davies, whose credits include Les Misérables and Chicago, takes on the role of villain Carabosse.
The show is adapted to reduce sensory stress. House lights remain on throughout, flashing effects and loud sound bursts are reduced, and cast members introduce themselves to the audience before the performance begins.
Audience members are free to move around or make noise without concern, and the auditorium can be entered earlier than usual. A chill-out area is available for anyone who needs a break, and additional staff are present to assist. A visual story covering both the theatre building and the show can be requested from Aylesbury Waterside Theatre in advance.
