The Secret Elephant, a family musical by Steven Lee at Norman Bragg Studio, Aylesbury. Puppetry, animation and singalong songs in one hour. Book tickets.
The Secret Elephant is a new family musical from The People's Theatre Company and children's author Steven Lee, the team behind The Witch Who Couldn't Sleep. Playing at the Norman Bragg Studio, Aylesbury, the show runs for one hour and follows two elephant sisters on a journey from Africa to Australia.
The show takes place inside Steven's writing shed, where the story of an elephant that should not exist gradually comes to light. Two elephant sisters face danger, cross vast oceans and discover how a single act of love changed the world forever.
Billed as a Story Time musical, the production actively invites younger audience members to shout out, join in and help shape the narrative as it unfolds. Award-winning animation and puppetry sit alongside the live performance, and singalong songs and moments of audience participation feature throughout. The one-hour running time suits young children.
