Shrek is a solitary ogre content in his swamp until fairy tale outcasts arrive uninvited at his door. To reclaim his home, he strikes a deal with the ambitious Lord Farquaad: rescue Princess Fiona from a dragon-guarded tower. A talkative Donkey joins him along the way. The story centres on unexpected friendships and the idea that what makes people different is often their greatest strength.
This is an amateur production presented by TSP. The King's Theatre, Glasgow actively supports amateur dramatic societies, and TSP is staging the show there for a regional engagement.
Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. This is the King's Theatre, Glasgow's stated policy for this production. Allow for the two-hour-thirty-minute running time when planning your visit.
