Agatha Christie's The Hollow features Peter Polycarpou as Poirot in Lucy Bailey's touring production. Age guidance 12+. Explore tickets for this thriller.
Agatha Christie's The Hollow is a touring drama in which Hercule Poirot, expecting a quiet country retreat, is drawn into a murder investigation at an elegant estate. Peter Polycarpou leads the cast under director Lucy Bailey for producer Fiery Angel. The production carries a 12+ age guidance.
Guests gathered at The Hollow, a country estate, find old passions and new rivalries surfacing over the course of an evening. When a shot is fired and a body is discovered with a revolver close at hand, the scene looks almost arranged, which is precisely what unsettles Poirot. What appears straightforward turns out to be anything but, and the detective must work through layers of concealed history to find the truth.
Peter Polycarpou, whose screen and stage credits include Birds of a Feather, Evita and The Brutalist, plays Hercule Poirot. The cast listed for Theatre Royal Brighton includes Luke Allen-Gale as John Cristow/Inspector Colquhoun, Victoria Blunt as Henrietta Angkatell, Sarah Moyle as Lady Lucy Angkatell, Michael Praed as Sir Henry Angkatell, James Sheldon as Edward Angkatell, Tilly Steele as Gerda Cristow, Kemi-Bo Jacobs as Veronica Craye, Grace Darling as Midge, James Clyde as Gudgeon, Noella Naibaho as Doris and Paula Hines in a further role. Cast at other venues may differ.
Lucy Bailey directs for Fiery Angel, the same producer and director combination behind previous tours of Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile.
The production carries an age guidance of 12 and above at all listed venues. No running time is given in the ATG listing; check with your venue before booking if duration matters to you.
