Horrible Histories – Terrible Tudors is a live stage show at Theatre Royal Brighton combining actors with 3D special effects to bring Tudor history to life. It runs for one hour and forty-five minutes and is recommended for ages five and above.
The production explores Henry VIII’s conflict with the Pope and the fates of his wives, before turning to Edward, Bloody Mary and the Spanish Armada. Historical stories are presented through Horrible Histories’ comic treatment of their gruesome details.
A second production, Awful Egyptians, is also available during this run, giving families the option of two separate shows.
Actors share the stage with 3D effects, including an Armada sequence designed to appear to extend into the auditorium.
