RECENSIONE: Tommy, Greenwich Theatre ✭✭✭✭✭
Indipendentemente da come venga caratterizzato, la produzione di Michael Strassen di Tommy è un autentico trionfo, praticamente perfetta sotto ogni aspetto. Fin dalla prima nota, ti afferra per la gola, esige che le sia dedicata attenzione, e non cede fino a quando Tommy fa girare il maxi flipper nelle sue mani e un blackout segnala la fine dello spettacolo. Gli intervalli sono raramente mal visti al giorno d'oggi, ma ammetto liberamente di aver risentito di quello qui. Questa è una straordinaria reinterpretazione di un'opera raramente eseguita sul palco. Vocalmente, drammaticamente e artisticamente è un trionfo senza riserve.
