Ten years after taking Broadway by storm at the Walter Kerr Theatre in October 2016, the original cast of Lincoln Center Theater’s acclaimed revival of Falsettos reunites for a celebration of William Finn and James Lapine’s much-loved musical. Falsettos in Concert plays three shows only at the London Palladium on 23 and 24 February 2027, straight from sell-out concerts at Carnegie Hall in New York.

About Falsettos

Falsettos has music and lyrics by William Finn and a script by William Finn and James Lapine. Set in New York at the turn of the 1980s, it follows Marvin, who leaves his wife Trina for his lover Whizzer, and the extended, unconventional family that grows around their son Jason, Trina’s new partner Mendel and the lesbians next door, Dr Charlotte and Cordelia. Funny, tender and ultimately heartbreaking, it is one of the great musicals about love and family.

Cast

The revival’s original stars gather to reprise their roles: Tony Award winner Stephanie J. Block as Trina, Tony Award winner Christian Borle as Marvin, Tony Award nominee Andrew Rannells as Whizzer, Emmy Award nominee Tracie Thoms as Dr Charlotte, Tony Award winner Brandon Uranowitz as Mendel and Tony Award nominee Betsy Wolfe as Cordelia. It is a rare chance to see the full company together again on one stage.

Creative team and producers

Tony Award nominee Ellenore Scott directs and choreographs, and Vadim Feichtner returns to lead the score as music director and conductor. Further creatives are to be announced. The concerts are presented by Betsy Wolfe, Colleen Cook and Cynthia Rose for Table for Three Productions, in association with Darren Bell Productions and QUBE Theatricals for the London engagement.

Falsettos in Concert plays the London Palladium on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 February 2027, with three performances across the two days. Performance times and the running time are to be announced by the venue.

Who is it for

Fans of Falsettos, the 2016 revival and its Broadway stars, and anyone who loves a big musical theatre concert. The London Palladium does not admit children under 4, including babes in arms, and anyone aged 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit alone in the auditorium.
