『The Girls』は、ゲイリー・バーロウとティム・ファーストによる新作ミュージカル。映画『カレンダー・ガールズ』と、その後に舞台化された同作をもとにしています。『カレンダー・ガールズ』のオリジナル脚本は、ティム・ファーストとジュリエット・トウヒディによって執筆されました。
ヨークシャーのライルストーン＆ディストリクト・ウィメンズ・インスティテュートの12人の女性たちによる実話をもとにした本作。『The Girls』の全公演は、英国の慈善団体Bloodwiseによる、英国での血液がんとの闘いを支援します。Bloodwiseについて詳しくはこちら。
『ファインディング・ネバーランド』のミュージカル版はすでにブロードウェイで上演され（英国でも近日上演予定）、一方で『The Girls』は彼にとって英国で上演される初のオリジナル・ミュージカルです。私たちもゲイリーの動向を注視しつつ、近いうちにウエストエンドで3作品同時上演なんてことになるのでは、と密かに予想（賭け）しています！
