Disney’s High School Musical arrives at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre on 12 October 2026, and a new trailer has been released ahead of the London run. McFly’s Harry Judd leads the full cast as Coach Bolton, with original film star KayCee Stroh as Ms Darbus. Tickets on British Theatre are on sale for performances from 12 October 2026 to 3 January 2027: see High School Musical tickets.

The staging, which marks 20 years since the Disney Channel film became a worldwide hit, transfers to London after a summer run at Lowry in Salford, where it played from 22 August to 19 September. You can read more about that run in our story on how High School Musical opened at Lowry ahead of the Wembley Park transfer. The official opening at Wembley Park is on 20 October.
A new trailer for the London run
The new trailer, released on 5 October, features Judd, Stroh and the cast as the show heads to north-west London for a limited run. The show itself features the songs that made the film a phenomenon, including Breaking Free, We’re All in This Together, Get’cha Head in the Game and Stick to the Status Quo.
Harry Judd and KayCee Stroh lead the cast
Harry Judd, the drummer of McFly and the 2011 winner of Strictly Come Dancing, takes over as Coach Bolton from Jason Donovan, who played the role in Salford. Speaking about joining the show, Judd said: “It’s such an iconic film that meant so much to me growing up.” He added that he “can’t wait to ‘Get My Head in the Game’”.
KayCee Stroh brings a genuine link to the films. She played Martha Cox in all three of the original Disney movies and now steps into the role of drama teacher Ms Darbus, as we reported when KayCee Stroh joined the UK stage revival.

What is High School Musical about?
Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez are juggling schoolwork, basketball games and the expectations of their friends when they unexpectedly audition for the school musical. Their decision throws the whole school into chaos, as the basketball team, the science club, the drama students and the ever-ambitious Sharpay Evans all collide. It is a story about romance, friendship and finding the courage to be yourself.
