Corn Exchange Newbury has announced a dazzling lineup for its much-anticipated Christmas pantomime, Dick Whittington, set to charm audiences from November 29, 2024, to January 5, 2025. This year’s production stars "Harry Potter" film actor Chris Rankin, best known for his role as Percy Weasley, who will take on the character of Alderman Fitzwarren.

Kai Harris will lead the pantomime as Dick Whittington, with Jade Johnson reprising her role at the Corn Exchange as Cosmo the Cat, Dick’s trusty sidekick. Alex Crandon will bring mischief and mayhem to the stage as the evil King Rat, and Scott Riney will deliver classic Christmas fun as the Dame.

The production, penned and directed by the dynamic team of Plested Brown and Wilsher, promises a festive treat filled with magic, music, and mirth. Alongside the captivating performances, the show will feature chart-topping songs from across the decades, ensuring a pantomime that delights both young and old.

Jessica Jhundoo-Evans, Director of the Corn Exchange, expressed her excitement for the holiday season, stating, "The pantomime is such a special time of year for everyone at the Corn Exchange. We are delighted to present Dick Whittington this year and look forward to welcoming thousands from our local community to join in this much-loved festive tradition."

In addition to the enchanting performances, the Corn Exchange continues its tradition of giving back through the Panto Pay it Forwards appeal, providing free pantomime tickets to those in the community who are most in need, ensuring that the magic of theatre is accessible to all.
