BritishTheatre.com are pleased to be bringing you this image of Sheila Hancock as Edith "Big Edie" Bouvier Beale and Jenna Russell as Edith "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale in the eagerly awaited European premiere of Grey Gardens.

Grey Gradens is based on the iconic documentary of the same name with music by Scott Frankel, book by Doug Wright and lyrics by Michael Korie, which tells the story of the spectacular ruse and fall of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis's aunt and cousin.

Starting in 1941 at an engagement party at Grey Gardens, the Bouvier’s mansion in East Hampton, Long Island, the musical tracks the progression of the two women’s lives from American aristocrats to reclusive social outcasts living in such squalid conditions, in a home overrun by cats, that the Health Department deemed the mansion ‘unfit for human habitation’.

Grey Gardens is produced by Danielle Tarento and directed by Thom Sutherland. The show will play a six week season at Southwark Playhouse from Saturday 2 January 2016. Book now for Grey Gardens

REVIEW: Grey Gardens, Southwark Playhouse ✭✭✭✭✭

You will be hard pressed to see a better production of this musical. The casting of Grey Gardens is near perfect. Southwark Playhouse is building a strong reputation for presenting wonderful modern musicals and like some of their previous productions this one is sure to sell out so don’t miss it.
