Jermyn Street Theatre will present the riotously funny three man adaptation of The Hound Of The Baskervilles this Christmas.
The Hound of the Baskervilles comes to Jermyn St Theatre this Christmas
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's most celebrated Sherlock Holmes mystery gets a cheeky makeover full of brilliant theatrical inventions, farcical surprises and a great twist on the greatest detective of all time.
When Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead on his estate, with a look of terror still etched on his face and the paw prints of a gigantic hound beside his body, Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson must unravel the mysteries surrounding the ancient curse of the Hound of the Baskervilles.
This fast paced adaptation was originally written by Steven Canny and John Nicholson for their company Peepolykus, and enjoyed a hugely popular West End run in 2007.
The production stars Max Hutchinson (The Comedy of Errors, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Merchant of Venice – Propeller; An Ideal Husband – Chichester Festival Theatre) as Sherlock Holmes, Simon Kane (associate artist with Shunt; numerous comedy credits on BBC Radio 4; writing credits include That Mitchell and Webb Look) as Doctor Watson, and Shaun Chambers (Sweeney Todd – Twickenham Theatre; Praxis Makes Perfect – National Theatre Wales/Barbican) as Sir Charles Baskerville.
The Hound Of The Baskervilles is directed by Lottie Wakeham and is co-produced with English Theatre Frankfurt, mainland Europe's largest and most successful English speaking theatre.
The Hound of the Baskervilles runs at Jermyn Street Theatre from 6 December 2017 to 13 January 2018.
