Disney's Hercules has announced new lead casting for its final extension at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Bradley Gibson, who originated the role on Broadway, will step into the title part from 29 June, making his West End debut.
A Homecoming for Bradley Gibson
Gibson described the casting as a full-circle moment: "What an honour to step back into the role of Hercules which I had the enormous privilege of originating back home. To come full circle with this epic production, and make my West End debut at the glorious Theatre Royal Drury Lane is an absolute dream come true."
The Production So Far
The musical features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by David Zippel, and a new book by Robert Horn and Kwame Kwei-Armah. Directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, Hercules opened at the Drury Lane last summer and earned three WhatsOnStage Award nominations including Best New Musical.
The current West End cast includes Luke Brady in the title role, alongside Mae Ann Jorolan, Trevor Dion Nicholas, and Stephen Carlile. Gibson takes over from Brady for the final stretch of performances.
Final Dates and Tickets
The production will close on 5 September 2026. With the show now in its final months, tickets for Hercules are expected to be in high demand — particularly for Gibson's opening performances from late June.
