Jersey Boys London To Close 26 March 2017

Photo: Brinkhoff Mogenburg After nine amazing years in London, producers have announced that Jersey Boys will close at the Piccadilly Theatre on Sunday 26 March 2017. They have also announced that a second national tour of Jersey Boys will open in December 2017 at the New Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham.
Jersey Boys is currently the 6th longest running musical currently playing in the West End. The show opened at the Prince Edward Theatre on 19 March 2008, moving to the Picadilly Theatre in March 2014.
Jersey Boys is a unique bio-musical which chronicles the true story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons told from the unique viewpoint of each of the band's original members. Jersey Boys features songs including Walk Like A Man, Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Beggin', Sherry, My Eyes Adored You and Who Loves You. The London cast of Jersey Boys is led by Matt Corner as Frankie Valli, Simon Bailey as Tommy DeVito, Declan Egan as Bob Gaudio and Matt Hunt as Nick Massi.
The show won the Tony Award, Olivier Award and Australia's Helpmann Award for Best New Musical, winning 57 major awards worldwide. Jersey Boys has been seen by over 23 million people worldwide.
Jersey Boys is written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe. The London production is directed by Des McAnuff, choreographed by Sergio Trujillo scenic design by Klara Zieglerova, costumes by Jess Goldstein and lighting by Howell Binkley.
