Nadim Naaman Bill Champion will lead the revival cast of By Jeeves
The Old Laundry Theatre have announced that their upcoming revival of Alan Ayckbourn and Andrew LLoyd Webber's musica By Jeeves will star Bill Champion and Nadim Naaman. This will be Alan Ayckbourn’s first revival in over 20 years of this jocular musical - from Broadway to Bowness!
Nadim Naamanwho will play Bertie Wooster is currently playing Raoul in the 30th anniversary cast of Lloyd Webber's ThePhantom Of The Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre. Other theatre credits include Anthony in Sweeney Todd at Harrington's Pie and Mash Shop on Shaftesbury Avenue and Titanic in Toronto and Southwark Playhouse.
Long-time Ayckbourn collaborator actor Bill Cgampion is to play the faitful, long-suffering man servant Jeeves. Bills other credits include Stephen Joseph Theatre, Broadway and West End including: Henceforward, A Chorus of Disapproval, Arrivals and Departures, Woman in Mind, Damsels in Distress Trilogy, Absurd Person Singular, Comic Potential; also Calendar Girls, Sunset Boulevard, Fame.
Joining Bill and Nadim are James Baughan (Kinky Boots - West End) as clergyman Stinker Pinker, Katie Birtill ( Priscilla Queen Of the Desert UK Tour) as the cute and spoiled Madelaine Bassett, Howard Chadwick (Brassed Off - Oldham Coliseum) as Madelaine's controlling father Judge Watkyn Bassett, Joshua Manning (The BFG in The BFG at Birmingham Rep) as villain and jelly tycoon Cyrus Budge, Oliver Maudsley (Where Is Peter Rabbit? - Old Laundry) as reclusive scientist Gussie Fink-Nottle, Naomi Petersen (The Witches Of Eastwick - Watermill Playhouse) as Bassett's sweet ward Stiffy Bing, Nigel Richard (Phantom in The Phantom Of the Opera - West End) as nerdy friend Bingo Little and Melle Stewart(Assassins - Menier Chocolate Factory) as hedgehog lover Honoria Glossop.
Directed by Ayckbourn, By Jeeves will have sets designed by Roger Glossop, choreography by Sheila Carter, musical direction by Steven Edis, costumes by Caroline Hughes and lighting by Jason Taylor.
Andrew Lloyd Webber recently said:"I confess that this is the musical that I privately look forward most to seeing."
By Jeeves will be presented at the Old Laundry Theatre, Bowness-on-Windermere from 6 October to 4 November 2017.
