Royal Court anuncia elenco de Anatomy of a Suicide

Hattie Morahan, Paul Hilton e Kate O’Flynn vão liderar o elenco da nova peça de Alice Birch, Anatomy of a Suicide, no Royal Court.

Com encenação de Katie Mitchell, contará também com Gershwyn Eustache Jnr, Peter Hobday, Adelle Leonce, Sarah Malin, Jodie McNee e Dickon Tyrrell. Estará em cena no Jerwood Theatre Downstairs (sala principal) de 3 de junho a 8 de julho de 2017.

Entre os trabalhos anteriores de Alice Birch estão Revolt. She said. Revolt again, para a Royal Shakespeare Company e o Soho Rep de Nova Iorque, e We Want You To Watch, uma colaboração com o duo feminista RashDash no National Theatre. Trabalhou ainda com Katie Mitchell em Ophelias Zimmer, para o Royal Court e a Schaubühne, em Berlim.

Anatomy of a Suicide promete explorar o legado e o sofrimento herdado ao longo de três gerações de mulheres.  A peça integra o programa Jerwood New Playwrights do Royal Court, com o apoio da Jerwood Charitable Foundation.

O desenho de cena será de Alex Eales, os figurinos de Sarah Blenkinsop, a luz de James Farncombe, a música de Paul Clark e o som de Melanie Wilson.

Hattie Morahan regressa ao Royal Court depois de ter participado em The City, de Martin Crimp. Conhecida de muitos papéis na televisão, interpretou mais recentemente o papel principal com grande aclamação em A Doll’s House no Young Vic, com transferência para o West End londrino e para o BAM, em Brooklyn.

Também presença habitual na televisão, Paul Hilton esteve mais recentemente em palco em Peter Pan no National Theatre, The Cherry Orchard no Young Vic, Doctor Faustus no Duke of York’s e Polar Bears no Donmar Warehouse.

Kate O’Flynn junta-se à produção acabada de sair da sua aclamada interpretação em The Glass Menagerie, em cena no Duke of York’s até 29 de abril.
