WAOS Musical Theatre brings Singin' in the Rain to the Rhoda McGaw Theatre, Woking. Set during Hollywood's late-1920s transition from silent films to talkies, the story follows movie star Don Lockwood, his friend Cosmo Brown and aspiring actress Kathy Selden as they scramble to save a film and discover that fame matters less than they thought.

The story

Don Lockwood's polished screen partnership with Lina Lamont begins to collapse the moment a microphone reveals her speaking voice. With Cosmo's quick thinking and Kathy's talent, Don works to rescue their latest production while ambition, romance and backstage disorder collide around them.

The score features well-known numbers including "Good Morning", "Make 'Em Laugh", "Moses Supposes" and the title song. The production includes a rain-soaked finale that is a signature element of the show.

Woking railway station is about a 5-minute walk from the theatre. Trains from London Waterloo take roughly 25 to 30 minutes, and there are also direct services from Portsmouth, Basingstoke and Southampton.

The nearest options are the Victoria Place car parks (Red, Green, Blue and Yellow, GU21 6GQ), which are closest to the Peacocks Centre entrance, and Brewery Road Car Park (GU21 4ND), closest to the Gloucester Square side of the complex. The theatre has no designated bays of its own, but these nearby car parks have Blue Badge spaces. EV charging points are available in the Victoria Place Red car park, a short walk away.
