Falsettos is coming back to London in a new form next year. The principal company of the acclaimed 2016 Broadway revival will reunite on stage at the London Palladium for three concert performances on 23 and 24 February 2027, ten years after that production opened in New York.

Stephanie J. Block, Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Tracie Thoms, Brandon Uranowitz and Betsy Wolfe will all return to the roles they played in the revival. It is a rare chance to see the six together in one room, and for British audiences it is the first time this particular company has performed the piece on this side of the Atlantic.

A presale opens at 1pm UK time on Wednesday 14 October 2026, and general sale follows at 10am UK time on Friday 16 October 2026.

Who is in the reunion line-up?

The line-up carries a remarkable set of honours between them. Block, Borle and Uranowitz are all Tony Award winners, Rannells and Wolfe are Tony nominees, and Thoms is an Emmy nominee.

Ellenore Scott, herself a Tony nominee, directs and choreographs the concerts. Vadim Feichtner returns as music director and conductor, and further members of the creative team will be named at a later date.

How a single New York night grew into a London visit

The reunion began life as a one-off celebration at Carnegie Hall in New York on 18 October 2026. Demand was so strong that a second evening was added for 2 November 2026, and a third and final New York date has now been scheduled at Carnegie Hall for 8 February 2027. A portion of the proceeds from that February performance will support The TDF Wendy Wasserstein Project.

From there the company crosses the Atlantic. The London Palladium is one of the most famous stages in the country, and a short concert run there gives the reunion a grand setting for its only performances outside New York.

Speaking about the reunion, Betsy Wolfe said the musical "found all of us at such a pivotal moment" and that the cast had watched one another grow "as artists and as friends" over the past decade. She added that seeing one night at Carnegie Hall turn into three performances and a trip to the Palladium had been "extraordinary", and that "there's still more of this story for us to tell."

What is the musical about?

With music and lyrics by William Finn and a book by Finn and James Lapine, the musical follows Marvin, a man who leaves his wife Trina for his lover Whizzer, and the unconventional family that forms around them and their young son Jason. It moves from the late 1970s into the early years of the AIDS crisis, and it is known for its blend of sharp comedy and deep emotion, with a score that is sung nearly all the way through.

The 2016 revival, produced by Lincoln Center Theater, opened on Broadway in October 2016. It received five Tony nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical, and the production was later filmed for broadcast, which helped it reach a much wider audience around the world.

London audiences have seen the show before. The musical had its UK premiere in London in 2019, but the February concerts offer a rare chance to hear this celebrated Broadway cast sing Finn's songs live in the capital.

Behind the concerts

The reunion is presented by Betsy Wolfe, Colleen Cook and Cynthia Rose for Table for Three Productions, which is staging the concerts in both New York and London. Darren Bell Productions is the London partner, with QUBE Theatricals joining for the Palladium engagement.

For fans who have known this cast only through the filmed production, three nights at the Palladium are a rare chance to hear them together in the same room.
