Pink Rabbit, the award winning solo play written and performed by Farah Ashraf, is coming to London. Following its Edinburgh Fringe run, the show makes its London debut Upstairs at Soho Theatre from Tuesday 24 November to Saturday 12 December 2026, directed by Alessandro Babalola.
The play won the Bestie! Award for Best Solo Show 2026 and was nominated for the Brighton Fringe Award for Excellence 2026.

What is the play about?
Amna is 18, a British Pakistani woman who has perfected the art of performance. At home she is a polite, modest and obedient daughter. Online she becomes PersianBaby, building intimacy and desire through an OnlyFans account her mother knows nothing about.
When a man contacts her on social media offering to pay for webcam calls, Amna has to weigh desire and financial independence against the expectations of her conservative upbringing. As her lies begin to unravel, she starts to question who she is really performing for.
Blending lyrical spoken word with direct audience engagement, the play looks at faith, female desire, shame and the pull of being watched, and at the lasting impact of intergenerational trauma. It asks what space there is for desire in the lives of women, particularly within South Asian communities.
Who is behind the production?
Babalola, the Olivier Award winning actor, writer, director and dramaturg, directs and acts as dramaturg. He is a Creative Associate of Soho Theatre and jointly chairs Soho Theatre Walthamstow. The team also includes associate director Aoife Smyth and producer Daljinder Johal, and the show is presented by NAZAR Arts and Little Stitch Productions.
Ashraf trained with the National Youth Theatre and graduated from Oxford School of Drama in 2023. Her stage work includes playing Bobbie in The Railway Children in Bradford in 2025, and on screen she has appeared in The Witcher and Bait.
What have critics said?
The Scotsman called Ashraf a "Powerhouse performer", The Stage praised a "deeply poetic reflection on the contradiction between faith and sexual freedom", and Broadway World highlighted its "poignant social critique". The Skinny described her as "A magnetic performer, whose next move will be worth watching".
What has the writer said?
Ashraf first wrote the piece as a short scratch performance at drama school. She said: "...it's grown with me, from Edinburgh Fringe to Soho Theatre, pushing me to become a braver, bolder and more rigorous artist. I love creating work that's messy, complex, funny and unapologetic. At its heart, the play is about the masks we wear to feel loved, desired and accepted, and that very human need to feel seen. It's about sex, but it's not sexy."
When and where does it play?
Pink Rabbit runs in the Upstairs space at Soho Theatre on Dean Street from Tuesday 24 November to Saturday 12 December 2026. The running time is 70 minutes, and the show is recommended for ages 16 and over.
