Set at Westerberg High, it follows Veronica Sawyer's dangerous ascent through the school's ruling clique and her entanglement with the volatile J.D., across a two-and-a-half-hour production currently touring the UK.

The story

At Westerberg High, social survival is everything, and Veronica Sawyer begins as an outsider longing for acceptance. When the three Heathers, the school's ruling triumvirate, take her under their wing, her fortunes change rapidly. Then J.D. arrives: a charismatic and dangerous rebel who reframes the cost of belonging in far darker terms.

Cast

Gerardine Sacdalan is advertised as Veronica Sawyer, with Louis Hearsey as Jason 'J.D' Dean. Liberty Stottor plays Heather Chandler, Jessica Ibadin plays Heather Duke, and Lou Henry plays Heather McNamara. Sophie Manners appears as Martha Dunnstock, and Veronica Carabai plays Ms. Fleming and Veronica's Mom. The wider company includes Markus Södergren as Kurt Kelly, Beau Jackson as Ram Sweeney, John Gurdian, Reuben Brown, and Christian De-Gallerie among others.

Audience considerations

The production carries a recommended age guidance of 14 and above. It contains haze, loud noises including gunshots, flashing lights and strobe effects, strong language, and mature themes covering murder, suicide, sexual violence and references to eating disorders. The running time is 2 hours 30 minutes.
