Susan Calman: Tall Tales – two hours of stand-up about cruises, tanks and cats, her first tour in a decade. Age guidance 14+. Book UK dates now.
Susan Calman returns to live stand-up for the first time in a decade with Tall Tales, a brand-new two-hour show drawing on a run of improbable real-life situations, including cruising holidays, driving tanks, cats and getting older, with the possibility of some dancing along the way.
Tall Tales is a stand-up comedy show built around personal storytelling. Calman mines an eclectic set of experiences for material, covering ocean cruises, armoured vehicles, cats and the realisations that come with ageing. She also flags that audiences who know her from television may be surprised by quite how short she is in person.
She has appeared on Grand Day Out, Cruising with Susan Calman, QI, House of Games and, as she puts it, a long time ago, Strictly Come Dancing. Live performance is presented as the most direct way to encounter her work.
The show carries age guidance of 14+ and a running time of around two hours. Sunderland Empire lists a BSL-interpreted performance; select the designated performance when booking and contact other venues about their own access arrangements.
These are the dates listed by ATG as checked on 21 September 2026. A date range may contain selected performances, rather than a show every day. Open your chosen venue link for exact times, seats and current prices.
