Cultural Welcome Week: Palace Theatre Tour and Talk tickets in Manchester

Cultural Welcome Week: Palace Theatre Tour and Talk is a free, student-focused guided tour of the Palace Theatre Manchester. A guide covers the building's history and shares insights into how theatre productions are put together, with each session lasting approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

What the tour involves

A guide takes visitors through the Palace Theatre, one of Manchester's oldest, explaining its history and how theatre productions come to life. This is a venue tour and does not include a show ticket.

Because the Palace is a working building, access to restricted areas including backstage depends on availability on the day and cannot be guaranteed in advance.

Practical considerations before you book

Places are limited and advance booking is essential. Admission is free for students, but valid student ID must be brought on the day. The meeting point is the main entrance on Oxford Street; arrive at least five minutes before your session begins, as latecomers may not be admitted.

Tour routes involve a significant number of stairs. Anyone with mobility or other access requirements is asked to contact ManchesterINSPIRE@atgentertainment.com before booking so that appropriate support can be arranged.

Dates, venues and booking links

Choosing your tickets
