Books and Boogie at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre: weekly 45-min sessions for babies 3 to 24 months mixing storytime, movement and songs. Book tickets.
Books and Boogie is a weekly interactive session at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre for babies aged 3 to 24 months and their grown-ups. Every Tuesday at 11:30am, a 45-minute class combines storytime, movement, songs and colourful props to encourage early creativity and a love of books.
Rather than asking small children to sit quietly, Books and Boogie invites them to move with the story. Narratives are brought to life through dancing, actions, simple rhythms and imaginative play, with the session responding to children's energy as it unfolds. The aim is to extend focus and attention naturally through play rather than instruction.
Sessions are held in the theatre foyer and are delivered by Books and Boogie in partnership with ATG INSPIRE.
The age range of 3 to 24 months means sessions are built around the particular needs of very young babies through to active toddlers. Discounts are available for siblings and for four-week block bookings. Families with queries can contact the team at AylesburyINSPIRE@atgentertainment.com.
These are the dates listed by ATG as checked on 21 September 2026. A date range may contain selected performances, rather than a show every day. Open your chosen venue link for exact times, seats and current prices.
